Tasemere Gathers

Urban Planner turned Business Visionary and Strategist

Tasemere G. is the founder of The DM Firm. She has dedicated her career to community revitalization and development with a focus on strategically connecting support providers and cross-sector stakeholders to drive innovation and maximize impact. Her work bridges economic development, entrepreneurship, and social equity.


Tasemere holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from SUNY Oswego, a Master’s in Urban Studies from Long Island University, and a Marketing Certification from General Assembly. She is also a Coro Neighborhood Leadership alumna.  In addition to leading The DM Firm, Tasemere serves on the boards of Smalltimore Homes (Baltimore), Deep Impact (New York City) and Paralegals FTC, Inc (New York City).


Milestones

2017

The DM Firm launched.

2019

The DM Firm successfully increase a brick and mater business profits and launched additional revenue streams for clients.

2024

Launched second headquarters in the DMV.

Achievements 

Produced the first pitch competition focused on Black-entrepreneurship in Times Square in celebration of Juneteenth

Serves a thought leader with an organization in South Asia focused on developing social and creative entrepreneurship for women, children and indigenous people.

Serves as a founding practitioner of Equitable Entrepreneurship.

Serves as a leader in Inclusive and Equitable entrepreneurship.
